Fascinating fungi

The world of fungi is a bizarre and beautiful one. Whatever course I run, whether it be microscope work or foraging you will gain an insight into the important role these organisms play in our forests and fields, top tips to tell them apart and how we’ve used them over the last 5000 or so years for food, medicine, fire and craft!

Identifying fungi is a sensory experience, with touch, sight, smell and even taste providing important clues!

The smell of a mushroom can provide a helpful clue to naming the right species!
From medicines to craft – fungi can be used in a variety of ways.

Please get in touch to arrange a workshop or guided walk, I can travel to you and can tailor the course to suit your interests.
